Synopsis
"Jars" is a character based dark thriller, which tells the story of Zlatko (first person POV) and Rose (third person POV), survivors of "the collectors" of human body parts, and the aftermath of the traumatic experiences of the both main characters.
Zlatko, a professional burglar with a dark sense of humor, breaks into the safe, an entire room, of a rich person, only to discover that his valuables are, in fact, a collection of jars filled with different human parts. The collector captures him and has to figure a way out of the monster's hands.
Rose, recovering from a second abusive relationship, invites a guy she has just met in her apartment. He attacks her, but she kills the attacker in self-defense. She doesn't call the police, because her ex- boyfriend's body is in her freezer. Trying to find out more about her attacker, she discovers he has been stalking her, and that he owns a crematorium. She gets rid of both bodies in the crematorium. Except she finds his collection of human parts there. She decides to call the police, but pretends that her attacker is still alive and stays anonymous.
As the story develops, Zlatko works with the police to help them find the escaped collector and the victim who called the police, while Rose is slowly becoming a vigilante who takes justice in her hands. She finds her mark, a wife abuser. She stalks him to confirm her doubts and learn his routines and eventually beats her first mark at the city park.
Zlatko discovers more clues by himself, finding out the anonymous caller to be Rose, and, because he suspects she, unlike him, has killed her "collector", is fascinated by her and starts observing her while she stalks her next target. Rose has found the perfect mark for her vengeance, Borce, a man high in society who has gotten away with some criminal activities, among which hurting both his wife and his son.
Zlatko infiltrates Borce's inner circle as his security consultant in order to get closer to Rose. They finally meet, and he can see the resolve in her eyes. Rose decides that the only way for Borce to pay for his crimes is to kill him and warns Zlatko to stay away. As Zlatko finds out about her plan, he is rushing to stop her from becoming a monster herself.

Reviews
"Kocevski's 'Jars' is a refreshment in the domestic (Macedonian) production, first of all because it's a rare subgenre on our market –thriller and horror, then because of the intriguing story which develops according to the principles similar to a graphic novel. The influence of the master of horror Steven King is noticeable, and it would be great if this work gets it's movie adaptation."
