Synopsis
"Follow back" is a psychological thriller which explores the rise and significance of social media in everyday life, particularly on Instagram, and the emergence of so-called influencers. It confronts the challenges faced by a popular Instagram personality, a health influencer, Marina.
Through Marina's daily life and the surrounding people, readers learn about the work of Influencers, their daily obligations, how they prepare for a post, the time invested in planning, and the way they do it. The novel delves into the problems they encounter, the competition they face, and the balancing between private life and the duties that come with the title "Influencer." In this context, the novel raises whether "influencing" can be considered a new profession or not.
As a subtle theme in "Follow Me," bullying emerges, whether it be physical violence or its newer form known as "cyberbullying." The main character, a bullying victim in school, now faces a cyber-attack that significantly affects her reputation as an Influencer and completely impacts her private and professional life.
Simultaneously, the novel addresses the psychology of a person facing events they can't explain, feeling them as a personal attack, and explores the limit to which an individual can be pushed before succumbing to the pressure of their thoughts. It delves into the experience of doubting everyone, even the closest ones and oneself, and questions whether doubt can lead to madness.

Reviews
"... Kocevski plays with the logic of today's culture, shaped by social networks. ... subtly discusses the responsibility of the influencer, but also how influencing can be considered a true profession. ... Many questions related to intrigue, hypocrisy, and all the false aspects of today's living surface, and Kocevski skillfully exposes them, offering the reader a readable and captivating narrative despite its volume."
