Synopsis
I HAVE BEEN TELLING STORIES FOR 25 EARS
When I was recently going through the meaningful anniversaries in 2024, I realized that among them it is also the quarter century anniversary since my first published literary work. The short story "Symbiosis" appeared in the magazine "Studentski zbor" in March 1999. The short story is an underestimated form, but at the same time a form with incredible potential. With this flashy and frivolous definition, every author would like to identify himself, and therefore I thought that such a collection was the most appropriate way to mark this writing anniversary with readers. And when I say a form with incredible potential, among other things, I also mean this: the shortest of these prose pieces has ten words, and the longest almost four thousand words.

Reviews
Kujundjiski is a master of the short story, a master of reason whose root is in the heart. In one place, in one story, he writes about himself, about the fact that he writes stories first in his head. But, after reading it, it is quite clear that for him reason is not opposed to the heart. As in prayer: he thinks with the heart. That is why he happens to write something so warm, sincere and wonderful, that I am sure it will change the physiognomy of the contemporary Macedonian short story. - Venko Andonovski
Žarko Kujundjiski's stories are a contemporary form of hybrid narrative performance in which, in an exceptionally skillful way, two aspects of memory are connected, the first, which includes elements of individual experience embedded in memories, and the second, activated through the composition of texts/writings of Others embedded in the layers of his memory as a reader. – Slavica Srbinovska
Kujundjiski writes warm, emotional stories. Knizhevnik
Any attempt to retell his stories would be ridiculous. Dreams are not retold, they are dreamed. - Jelena Lužina
