Synopsis
Kristian and Kaya receive a call in the middle of the night: a police officer informs them that the phone of their 31-year-old son Anton has been found in an abandoned car that has tumbled off the mountain road outside of town. However, there is no trace of Anton. He was caught on CCTV a few hours before the accident, and from the video it is clear that he was in the company of a woman his age. Kristian and Kaya learn that this is Sandra, with whom their son has spent quite a lot of time in recent years, although he has never mentioned her.
In an attempt to make some sense of this chaos, Kristian and Kaya arrange a meeting with the parents of Sandra: Veronika, a devoted Christian who never stops believing that her daughter will show up one day, and Sylvian, an immigrant and an Army deserter from his native country who bears a tremendous secret. A few months later, Sandra reappears indeed. She locks herself in the house and refuses to give an answer about Kristian’s whereabouts and about the night of the car accident, raising even more suspicion and completely complicating the already shattered lives of Kristian and Kaya.
