“At the focus of each of the stories lies a central life issue, typical of the age and biological-sociological stage of the characters being portrayed. Their spectrum ranges from those universal motives, all the way to the ultimate dilemma that remains after death. I have no doubt that the topics that Angjelkov treats have the tempting power to tickle the audience and not leave them indifferent, because although not always visible at first glance, Angjelkov's stories are engaged and open current and essential issues, as an added value of the new Macedonian prose. I believe they will prompt readers to moments of deep thought and self-awareness, which is indeed the ultimate goal of good literature. In addition to aesthetic pleasure it should offer a new perspective, stimulate critical thought and, to paraphrase Francis Scott Fitzgerald, offer us comfort that our longings are universal, that we humans are not alone and isolated from each other, but that we belong – to a group of like-minded people, well-wishers, sympathizers, lovers...”
