Biography
Meri Arsova was born on April 27, 1992 in Skopje and completed her education in Skopje, at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius", at the Faculty of Law "Justinian I", where she received her master's degree in criminal - material law with the paper "Serial murders in the Republic of Macedonia and comparative law" under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Nikola Tupancevski.
Her first novel "Dangerous Game" entered the semi-finals of the competition for the "Pegasus" literary award, announced by the "Ars Lamina" publishing house and the "Slavko Janevski" Foundation for the Advancement and Promotion of Cultural Values, and after its publication and promotion, it remained in the top list of best-selling novels in the bookstore of Literatura.mk for three months in a row.
In October 2023, she finished her second crime-thriller novel, 'Bones, Ashes, Smoke'. All of her knowledge about serial killers and the killer who kills for sport is utilized in this novel, believing that very few authors who tackle the subject are encouraged to write about a killer without a specific motive.
Mary Arsova currently works as a legal consultant, and works on her texts whenever she gets the chance. Apart from writing she is an avid reader of crime thrillers, classics and historical novels and not a day goes by without reading a few pages of a book from the home library. In the future, she hopes to have enough free time to dedicate to reviving the idea for her next novel.
