Biography

Iva Damjanovski (1996) She was born on 09.01.1996 in Skopje, N. Macedonia and is a graduated pianist from the Faculty of Music Art at UKIM. (2019), class of Prof. Todor Svetiev. He is currently a student at the Department of Musicology at the University of Trento, as well as at the Department of Music Interpretation and Composition at the Faculty of Music at UKIM - Skopje, class of prof. Maria Djoshevska. He is the winner of the UKIM award for the best graduate student of the Faculty of Musical Arts in the academic year 2018/2019. He currently works as an artistic project coordinator at the FAME'S institute in Skopje.

She is the author of the scientific article "The stage work of the future: the contemporary performative phenomenon, its development and communication with the audience", published in the fourth edition of the scientific journal "Ars Academica" (2016). She is also the author of the paper ELELORP 76: MUSICA NOVA MACEDONICA. Electroacoustic music in Macedonia, its development and characteristics", presented within the scientific conference of the 42nd edition of the "Struga Music Autumn" event, published in the official proceedings of the same. She is the winner of the "Igor Isakovski" award for the best debut poetry manuscript in 2017. for the poetry collection "They" (2017, Blesok), which will receive its second and updated edition in 2019. (PNV Publications). In 2020, her second poetry collection "Hesitation" was published, for which she was awarded the "Miladinovci Brothers" award at the Struga Poetry Evening Her poetry has been featured in many anthologies and literary magazines. He is the winner of the third prize at the "Antevo Slovo" competition for the best unpublished song in 2021, and she is the laureate of the same in 2022, as well as the special prize at the Castello di Duino international competition in Trieste, for the best unpublished song with a significant social or humanist message (2021).She participated in a large number of poetry readings in and outside the country, including "Astal Projections" and her poetry is represented in the monograph dedicated to the poetic manifestation (2019, Begemot), as well as a large number of other poetry readings in Skopje. Her award-winning book "Hesitation" received two presentations in Osijek and Nasice as part of the "Days of Macedonian Culture" events and the commemoration of 160 years of the collection of Miladinovci. In 2022, she also publishes her third collection "Triage" published by "Templum", together with the collection "We Begin", an edition consisting of a selection of songs from her first two collections. Her poetry has been translated into Irish, Portuguese, Serbian, Greek, Croatian, Slovenian, English, Albanian, Spanish, Italian, Bengali and Romanian. Since 2021 she has been part of the Versopolis platform and has performed at several international poetry festivals in Europe including the Mostra de Artes da Palavra in Portugal, the International Poetry Festival in Cork, Ireland, as well as the Vienna Literature Festival as part of the Urban Travel Machines project.
