The novel deals with the theme of the perpetrator of a series of femicides in 2022.

The main action takes place in Hermeskеil, a small town in the Rhine area in Germany, surrounded by a dense forest, in which police find the remains of the killed victims.

It is divided into three parts: the investigation, out of the investigation and the records of a diary, which eventually connect and overlap, revealing the secrets hidden for a half -century that hit, though in a different way, almost every character.
