The novel "Estom" is a book in which Nikolina Andova Shopova continues to explore some of the themes that are characteristic of her work: unusual human destinies, the destinies of strange people who differ from the environment in which they live, the belief in the irrational and the unspeakable as an important element of human life, the feeling that human life consists of moments that cannot be fully and fully explained. An "odd man" who lives by his own rules is the main character in the novel "Estom" - the pantomimist Oleg. A master as he is, completely dedicated to his art and skill, Oleg resembles those artists whose artistic sensibility completely coincides with their life and destiny. Living according to the poetics of absence, of the invisible, of the power of the worlds that he creates, which are more powerful than any "reality", he manages to completely identify his life with his art.
