Synopsis
“Me and Lynn, Afterwards”, is an anti-novella, a collage made up of many fragments, with an embedded narrative, metafiction, autofiction, a playful work with a penchant for magical realism, and a detective story. You also meet Anna Karenina and Vronsky, but also Tolstoy himself. The reader also meets a homosexual character involved in the story. This inventive work combines the memories of the young writer, the novel's narrator, about the love triangle she finds herself in and her attempt to write her first novel. The events of the love triangle are told out of sequence, leaving the reader to piece them back together like puzzle pieces, as the story of the narrator's ongoing novel builds to an intriguing and compelling conclusion.
