By the early 18th century, even though witch burnings across Europe had subsided, they weren't over yet. At a Sunday mass, sixteen-year-old Elisavet spots the mysterious Lucia Lilith Abdeel, a foreigner married to a local nobleman, who is rumored to have been suspected of witchcraft.<\/p>\n
