Biography<\/h4><\/span><\/span>\n<\/div>\n\t

Davor Stojanovski (1987, Skopje) \u2013 writer, poet, playwright, translator and musician. He holds an M.A. in Macedonian Literature, has worked as a copywriter and proof-reader. Translator from Slovenian to Macedonian (i.a. Drago Jan\u010dar, Goran Vojnovi\u0107, Kajetan Kovi\u010d, Andrej Skubic).<\/p>\n

His second novel won Macedonia\u2019s most prestigious award \u2013 \u201cUtrinski Vesnik\u201d Novel of the Year in 2016. His work is published in many anthologies and literary magazines. Writer in residence in Novo Mesto (SLO) as part of the Reading Balkans project in 2018, and translator in residence in Dol pri Hrastniku (SLO) in 2021.<\/p>\n

He lives in Carinthia, Austria. Former member of the band Foolish Green (until 2016). \u0424\u0443\u043b\u0438\u0448 \u0413\u0440\u0438\u043d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

2018: Shortlisted for the Novel of the Year Award by the \u201cSlavko Janevski\u201d Foundation for Solace for the Naked<\/em><\/p>\n

2019: Shortlisted for the \u201eAco \u0160opov\u201c Award by the Macedonian Writers\u2019 Association for Improvisational Hours<\/em><\/p>\n

2020: Nominated for the EU Prize for Literature for Solace for the Naked<\/em><\/p>\n

2020: Selected and recommended for translation by EURODRAM (European Network for Drama in Translation) for the theater play Grace Kelly Doesn\u2019t Drink Bambus<\/em><\/p>\n

2021: Shortlisted for the Novel of the Year Award by the \u201cSlavko Janevski\u201d Foundation for The Nights we Fell Asleep in Pompeii<\/em><\/p>\n
