Synopsis
“Dialogues in Singular“ - Conversations that might have happened and that could have happened" by
Ana Stojanoska is a book experiment, where the author attempts to write a narrative without narration,
only with the help of dialogues.
The dialogues are read through the three cycles – Sun, Dream and Moon, which are set as a puzzle for
the reader. The reader is left to listen/read the conversations and participate in their dynamism on his
own. The author's play with potential readers is also seen in the way the story unfolds with each
subsequent page.
This is the first book of its kind in Macedonian literature, which at the same time allows each reader to create his own story. The genre does not belong anywhere and at the same time the book itself is its own genre. It is easy, fast and simple to read. And that is another one of the author's puzzles.
